URGENT: Slid.dum intrusion into my saved passwords in Safari

I've seen other discussions about this, and let me tell you something: You are VERY sloppy, AT&T. You are the only company that has EVER changed my username and messed with my login information, and I want to know why.

When I logged into my account today, Safari didn't display my usual username as an option (with embedded password). Instead, I saw my username followed by "@slid.dum" and panicked.

We were hacked recently by someone who has been threatening me. I cleared absolutely everything out of my computers, reinstalled the operating system, changed all passwords, and now browse with Safari's privacy window.

So I'm sure you can imagine the fear I felt when I saw this username. This is a serious matter, and I expect you to immediately investigate this and REMOVE this from my account. You are AT&T, not slid.dum, and that's what I expect to see.

Safari never displays my username as an email address, unless I'm required to use an email address and that's what I save to Safari's passwords vault. You are inserting information into my private computer that has nothing to do with me. I don't care if you use .dum files and that somehow there's a legit explanation for this.

You are NOT to ever do this to me again. I consider this a grave violation of my personal safety, my personal computer and my expectations of AT&T. Considering recent large-scale hacks, and the fear I've been living with ever since the threats and hacks that targeted me, I do NOT trust "slid.dum" . . . for all I know it could be a gateway for hackers to embed malicious code in my browser and computer.

I want assurance that this has been escalated to your engineers and that it won't just float around in a customer service center and be ignored. You have caused me extreme anxiety, and I expect this to be immediately addressed.

I have the same problem and as this is a forum on AT&T's website I was hoping AT&T may have an answer but apparently not... do you have an answer AT&T?

I'm having the same issues and the dumbasses say my password is wrong. I am so irate because I have important documents in my email. Have you found a way to fix this? because I have not.

I am having the same problem and it is 6 years since it was first reported in this thread. When is att going to do anything about this? I am now exploring alternative email providers and might change if I can find the time to notify tons of contacts and businesses. It would be SO MUCH BETTER if att would simply fix this.

I'm moving this thread to the Email forum.

@matrixbud   The SAME problem?  Your username is followed by "@slid.dum" too?

Please don't resurrect ancient threads and add a "me too" comment like this. Now that you're actually in the correct forum, start your own post and provide some details about exactly what is happening to you.
