If what you are asking is if you can keep the same e-mail account after you terminate a paid AT&T service with which the e-mail is associated...
The answer is that as long as you close your account in good standing, and return any equipment that needs to be returned, the e-mail will be treated as a free AT&T e-mail account, with all rights, responsibilities and benefits accorded thereto, including a level of support inferior to that given to paying customers (if there's any way to accomplish same).
