Bellsouth.net email management (change passwords, etc)

Is it still possible to change Bellsouth.net email passwords, or has AT&T totally dropped support for them?

Hi @DuluthJim! We completely understand your concern regarding resetting email password but unable to block them, and would like to help. Let's get the assistance you require.

 

Make sure you're following the correct steps to change the password. You can do this on myAT&T.

  1. Go to reset your password.
  2. Enter your user ID and the last name associated with your ID.
  3. Choose your verification method and follow the prompts.
  4. Enter and confirm your new password.

Good to know: Each device you use to access your email will have its own secure mail key.

Thanks for the reply Ancy.  I'm still working on the BELLSOUTH.NET emails.  In addition to changing the password, which seems to only needed on my eserver to cause the email addresses to be listed on my ATT profile, I also have to set up Secure Keys since my email server (Outlook 7) uses SSL. I still have 3 more to setup.

Interestingly enough Jennifer, I have successfully gotten several BELLSOUTH (I have 5 accounts to fix) email security keys changed but the BELLSOUTH email addresses (accounts?) don't consistently show on my ATT profile, and the "our Contact Us page" in your message does not have a link for emails !!!  Out of 5 I've changed addresses for and added security keys for, only one is currently showing on my profile ...

I've also discovered that unless you delete the old "Secure Keys" shown in a BELLSOUTH email account's profile, the old "key" (which is used as the password in OUTLOOK) still works.  Tomorrow (been working on this for over a week now) I'll try the other subjects on the "Contact Us" page, and then give ATT a call in the event I can't resolve remaining issues with changing PW's to my BELLSOUTH email addresses (which, incidently, I'm doing as instructed by ATT in the letter I got from ATT about a recent breach of ATT data that included my EMAIL and PASSWORD's).
