Can no longer receive att.net email on iPad mini
I updated my att.net mail password. Now I can no longer receive new emails on my old iPad mini2 (iOS 12.5.7). I have been using it with no problem until I updated the password (using the AT&T account page). I have powered the iPad off/on several times. I deleted the (att.net) email account then tried to add the mail account to the iPad again (using “other” as type of email), but I keep getting an error: “Cannot get mail. The user name or password for imap.mail.att.net is incorrect.” However, I know they are correct because I can still send and receive email using the new password on my iPhone and on the laptop. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

To begin with, please check if this server settings are matching.
Since you have already updated you password, we'd recommend that you try login with secure mail key were you can replace the existing password with your secure mail key, and you can login directly without entering the password.

Thank you for the fast response. However:
I clicked on the "server settings" in your response and received this: An error occurred while processing your request.

I did the same with the "create a secure mail key and received this: An error occurred while processing your request.

I wasn't necessarily trying to create a secure mail key. I just wanted to get to our email the way we have been for years! All I did was update our passwords! In any case, I found another way to get around this and allow us to open view email on our old iPads. I'm sure I could figure out the secure mail key at some point, but we are in our mid 70's and having to figure out how to keep "reinventing the wheel" to do what we have been accustomed to doing is getting to be a pain.
Thanks again for taking the time to respond.
