Cannot receive or send e-mails

I cannot receive or send e-mails using  outlook.  Receiving error code 0800CC00E.   Outlook can't synchronize subscribed folders for my e-mail. Error cannot connect to server  If you continue to receive contact ISP provider. In outlook settings are correct for att.net.  When I open at&t  e-mail in currently.com settings are for yahoo.  I've tried changing the settings in outlook to yahoo and that doesn't work either.  I've tried the repair tool for outlook.  Tried restarting computer numerous times.  Reinstalled outlook, same error.

I have tried all the troubleshooting tips and nothing fixes it.

Everytime I go into the e-mail settings and try to update I get a message saying something went wrong and it can't update.  Now this morning all of my send items and trash have disappeared from the e-mail account.  If I try to send an e-mail t keeps asking me to enter by user name and password.

Hello @gtownann,

Thanks for reaching out to us. let's work on a fix and find out what's causing this.

We recommend that you follow the steps below.

  1. Check the Deleted Items or Junk E-mail folder to see if the emails are there.
  2. If you’re using an IMAP or Exchange email account, make sure that the emails are synchronized with your email servers.
  3. Search for the missing emails by typing “to contact name” and choosing “Current mailbox” in the search field.
  4. Check if the rules in your Outlook client are moving your messages to another folder. You can do this by hovering over the message to see its location and checking its rules in the Outlook client (Rules> Manage rules and alerts).

Regarding the issue of not being able to update your email settings, it’s possible that there is a problem with your email client or your email account. You can try the following steps to resolve the issue:

  1. Check if your email account is properly configured in your email client.
  2. Try updating your email client to the latest version.
  3. Check if there are any updates available for your operating system.
  4. Try accessing your email account from a different device or web browser.

Follow the troubleshooting steps in the AT&T Mail account and settings section of our Resolve email issues guide.

We hope this information is helpful, and thanks for reaching out to AT&T Community Forums!
