E-mails appear to large to be viewed all at once, need to scroll

This is something new. My e-mails open so large that they don't fit in the usual viewing window. I have to use the horizontal scroll bar to see each line. What can I do to get a proper size view?

Hello @psnc1917!

Thank you for reaching out to us! We understand that emails appear to be large that it does not fit the viewing window.  We hear you, and happy to assist you with this.

There are a few ways to adjust the viewing size of an email:

  1. Zoom Control:
  • At the right bottom of the Outlook window, you’ll find the Zoom control.
  • If you’re using a mouse with a wheel, click the Reading Pane, press Ctrl, and roll the scroll wheel.
    • Rolling the wheel away from you makes the contents larger.
    • Rolling the wheel toward you makes the contents smaller.

2. Persistent Zoom Setting (Outlook version 1901 or higher):

  • Click on the percentage (%) at the bottom right corner of the Zoom control.
  • Choose your preferred zoom percentage and check the box marked Remember my preference.
  • Additionally, when composing, replying, or forwarding an email, you can set the zoom preference:
    • Compose a new email.
    • Select Format Text > Zoom.
    • Set the zoom to 100% (or your preferred percentage) and select OK.
