Folder names are incorrect on windows 10 mail.yahoo.com although they are correct on my iPad.

This was caused by my trying to reorganize my folders using the Windows 10 platform.  The iPad folders were rearranged but the Windows 10 are just wrong and I cannot access some of my folders on this platform.

How can I "reinstall" the windows 10 screen?

Hi @LMHornby! We completely understand your concern regarding Windows 10 mail app, and would like to help. Let's get the assistance you require, and address this issue step by step:

  1. Verify Folder Sync:
    • First, ensure that your Yahoo Mail folders are correctly synced with the Windows 10 Mail app. Sometimes, synchronization issues can cause discrepancies between devices.
    • Open the Mail app on your Windows 10 computer.
    • Click on the three horizontal lines (hamburger menu) in the top left corner.
    • Select your Yahoo account from the list.
    • Click on “Manage accounts.”
    • Confirm that the folders you see match the ones on your iPad. If not, try syncing your account again.

  2. Reinstall the Windows 10 Mail App:
    • If the folder issue persists, consider reinstalling the Mail app:
      1. Press the Windows key + I to open the Settings app.
      2. Go to Apps > Apps & features.
      3. Scroll down and find the Mail and Calendar app.
      4. Click on it and select Advanced options.
      5. Click the Reset button to reset the app.
      6. After the reset, restart your computer.
      7. Open the Mail app again and check if the folders are now correct.

  3. Check Your AT&T Account Settings:
    • Ensure that your AT&T email account settings are correctly configured in the Windows 10 Mail app:
      • Incoming server: imap.mail.att.net
      • Port: 993
      • Encryption: SSL/TLS
      • Outgoing server: smtp.mail.att.net
      • Port: 465
      • Encryption: SSL/TLS.

Let us know if this helps.

Thank you.  I am synchronized again & it is a relief.

I had not been using Outlook but had been accessing my mail through MS Edge.  With your help I moved to Outlook.
