sbcglobal email address inbox empty and cant receive emails

My sbcglobal email address has not been logged into in many year. I had to login to the account to reset a password but when i logged in, there are no emails in any folder or inbox and when i try and send an email to this account from my gmail it is bounced back. When i send an email to my gmail account from the sbcglobal account, it works. So the account will send but not receive, despite there being no emails in the inbox.

please help

Hi houstonsig1263. We understand that you are having a concern with your SBC email address and can't receive emails. We can certainly look into this with you.

Let's try some browser troubleshooting.

  1. Clear the cache and cookies and saved passwords on your browser. The reason why we would like for you to do that is, sometimes the browser is saving error messages that needs to be cleared first in order to enter the password that we have sent.
  2. Try another browser to see if the error is replicated.
  3. Try using a mobile browser.

Let us know how it goes.

Appreciate the information which you provided.

We would suggest you have a look into this Email recovery process and this might be of help in getting your old emails back and your account working properly.
