The Apple Store rep could not set up my Yahoo account with my new ipad

I have a email address that is on all my business cards and other materials. The Apple Store rep told me I had to go to an ATT store to do this. I went to a store with no one there except for 2 reps. I was told that tech support from Yahoo was who I had to inquire for help. I’m not tech savvy and was wondering why they couldn’t help me, especially when they had nothing else to do. My current email on my old IPAD PRO is [email scrubbed]. The email on my new IPAD PRO is [email scrubbed]. Why can’t I link my current bellsouth act with the ATT account. Since all my business emails come to bellsouth, I can’t use my new IPAd. I live in Lake Worth, FL. Can you set me up an appointment with a nearby store that can assist me? Duane Rapini 561-601-4934

Thank you for reaching out to us @drapini,

We understand how important it is to having access to email accounts. Let's get the help you need.

As this issue is account specific, we'd like you to connect with us over a Direct Message to take a closer look at what's going on with your account. Look out for the chat notification next to the bell icon in the top right corner of the page.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

I went to an another ATT store yesterday. I asked the same question again about assisting with setting up my bellsouth email account with my new IPAD. He just shook his head no and said that I would have a very difficult time finding someone that could me. I’ve been with ATT since 1996. I’ve had my ups and downs. With all the upgrades on my new IPAD Pro, including extended warranty, extra memory and pen, I have no choice but to give this over $2,000 business expense to another family member. All over a email address? Are you kidding me? I had the rep swap out the SIM card back into the other IPAD which still had my bellsouth account. With all the competition out there, I don’t think I have an option now but to go elsewhere. So much for loyalty.

Hi there @drapini! We understand that you are trying to set up your email account to your new device. We hear you, and happy to assist you with this.

We recommend you to download the Yahoo Mail app from your applicable app store.

Next, load the Yahoo Mail app and then log in with your Bellsouth email address and password.

Should you have problems with your email password, please follow the password reset flow. Here are the steps:

  1. Go to http://sm.att.com/30ab6647.
  2. Select Forgot password?
  3. Fill out the password info.
  4. Choose security questions or temporary password and follow the prompts. If you choose a temporary password, we’ll let you know where we sent it.
  5. Create your new password.

After creating a new password, and you are able to get your email online, then you will need to create a Secure Mail Key

Meantime, you can visit the article to Get AT&T email on a wireless device.

Please let us know if you need any further help.

Thank you
