I need some assistance with setting up my AT&T email on different mobile devices. Despite following the provided instructions, I'm facing persistent issues and can't seem to get my email to function smoothly.

Problem Description:
I've attempted to configure my AT&T email account on both iOS and Android devices using the IMAP/SMTP settings provided by AT&T. However, I keep encountering authentication errors or continuous prompts to re-enter my password, despite entering the correct credentials.

Key Details:

  • I followed AT&T's step-by-step instructions for setting up email accounts on mobile devices meticulously.
  • I've tried both automatic setup via email client settings and manual configuration by entering server details manually, but neither method resolves the issue.
  • I've double-checked my username, password, and server settings multiple times to ensure they are accurate.
  • I've also attempted to disable any security applications or firewalls that might interfere with the email setup process, but the problem persists.

You need to acquire and use a Secure Mail Key as your password when setting up clients (unless that client implements OAuth2 the way AT&T wants it).
