Black list iPhone xs

I bought an iPhone xs by marketplace and it doesn't document me, and it's on black list by att usa I have your box, my question is is there a solution? To contact them directly to see if they remove it from that list? Thank you!

@July  No. If the phone is blacklisted it is for a reason (non-payment, lost, stolen, insurance replacement, etc) and can not be used on any carrier. Only the original owner can try to get it removed from the blacklist depending on why it was placed on the list in first place. This is a common scam and you would be better off to try and get your money back.

I understand, if I fell into a scam I just wanted to see if there was any solution to it from me writing them to an email or something, and explaining my situation since I have the team box and that. Thanks a lot

Hello @July,

We hear you, and we want to provide all the help we can to get your device whitelisted.

Since the device was not purchased directly, you can request the seller to contact AT&T so we can verify the device details and get it whitelisted.

There could be several reasons for a phone to be blacklisted, including if it is reported lost or stolen. However, once the seller contacts us we can provide a better resolution.

Hope this helps! Feel free to revert for further assistance.

Thanks for visiting AT&T Community Forums.

@July  There is nothing that you or AT&T can do. It's up to the original owner and like I said, depending on why it was blacklisted it just may be too late. Get your money back if you can.

@July  To repeat ourselves, if the phone has been blacklisted, only the original owner can possibly take care of it. AT&T has strict policies on re-activating blacklisted phones and I would be very surprised if they will reverse the blacklisting, especially if the phone was reported as lost, stolen, or replaced with insurance. You've been scammed.

Hi @July thank you  for contacting AT&T Community Forums

We hear you and understand your concern. We're here to help you.

As the other commentors mentioned only the original owner of the phone can contact AT&T to remove the device from Blacklist.

Hope this helped!
