Hearing aids and AT&T BL102-4
My mother has T coil hearing aids. She turned on Hearing Aid Compatibility on her cell phone and hears much better. The instructions for her BL102-4 say that it is T coil compatible. Is it automatic or does she need to turn something on?

Where are you finding this? I'm finding nothing about Bluetooth or T coil compatible. The only thing I'm finding is audio assist on page 28 of the manual.

"If this product is equipped with a corded or cordless handset, it is hearing aid compatible.", Page 102,https://cdn-media-att.vtp-media.com/products/BL/BL102-X/BL102-X_CIB_i4.0_20210621.pdf

Well, I use hearing aids and can use the phone, so I guess that makes it compatible. So, I guess it depends on how you want to define compatible. It doesn't provide a Bluetooth connection to your hearing aids like my aid can with my cell phone. Nor does it mention anything about a T coil.
In reading the following if turned on in the hearing aid it reacts to the energy put out by the phone, it's not something that is activated in the phone itself.

Here's an article with way more information than I was looking for. Basically, if she turns the T-coil on the phone will react to it. Part of the FCC requirement for phones. I wasn't aware of it as I always skip over that information just like the accepting the terms and conditions of a website. If nothing else I've learned something.
