IS ATT landline a true old-fashioned landline? Using no modem or internet.

Hello, wondering if the AT&T landline is a true landline? Right now I have my 'landline' with Comcast but it uses the Internet. I am looking for the good old-fashioned landline that does not use the Internet or Wi-Fi.

I don't believe that any provider is installing POTS lines anymore. They are either legacy lines or VoIP.

Maybe, maybe not. What you describe as an “old fashioned” landline is called POTS which means Plain Old Telephone Service. ATT offers both POTS and digital landlines, but that varies by location.

ATT Phone is renamed Uverse VoIP that occurred in December 2016.

If ATT Internet is available then ATT Phone is available as an add on, cannot be purchased as stand alone product, must be bundled with either internet or tv service. This service is available to 80% of ATT footprint or 60+ million addresses.

If ATT hardwired Uverse platform is not available for the 20% of footprint where not economically feasible (15+ million address) POTS service may be available, otherwise if desire phone service without internet then looking at cellular home phone service which is offered by many different providers.
