ive been flagged as spam

calling a relative in California from Melbourne, Australia. have successfully got through for months, now last week AT&T deems that my call is considered spam ... ?!!?!? i understand the need to be cautious with spam calls, but dont block legitimate calls especially when it involves family members keeping in touch.

so i am blocked, and get a recorded message,  hopefully the repair area can remove our cell numbers from the spam list, as its very important to keep in touch with family members. i will call the 'repair area tomorrow 8am ET...   will see how we go.

thanks, i have submitted the request. but i can call most other US numbers, its only when we call my partners sister in Los Angeles... She may have accidently enabled call blocking, but i doubt it..  if she did, what is the code to use to remove this ?  she is using a AT&T ATT-CL2940  corded phone.     i can look through an online manual for the phone, but if you can let me know, that would be great.  thanks.

Hi @Renux15, we got you, and we're here to help with getting a number unblocked on your corded phone.

Please use the following steps to unblock a phone number:

1. Get the dial tone.

2. Press *80 and then the 10-digit phone number (area code + 7-digit phone number)

3. Wait 5-10 seconds until you hear a message similar to the following: "That number has been unblocked." Then you can hang up, and you're all set!

You can also, use these steps unblock on VoIP service:

  1. Log into your account via att.com
  2. Hover over the banner and select Home Phone then Manage Features
  3. A new page will open and you will see a list of Features. One of those features is called Call Filtering. Click on the drop down and the following will be displayed.

Please check out our article on Call Blocking for AT&T Phone, this will provide more information on how to unblock numbers you may have blocked.

Let us know how it goes.

thanks and much appreciated,

but the number i need to  unblock is not a 10 digit number..  its our cell number from Australia which would be

61 (country code)   XXX XXX XXX

so we have 11 digits.   its not a regular 10 digit US phone number that needs to be unblocked.

thanks.

ok thanks, but our cell number works fine when calling other numbers in the US....  so its basically the issue is not at our end. Ive called Optus

and they have confirmed this.  thanks for the previous assistance, ill get my partners sister to maybe have a look at her phone and see if she

has accidently blocked our number.
