Model CL82301 replacement

Have this older phone with 2 add'l handset (model above).  One was damaged and I was about to get another one.  I have charged it, but still not getting a dial tone.  How do I get this new handset working?  Thanks.

Have you registered it to the base? Manual for CL82301. If it won't register try one of these methods to force a deregister of the new handset.

thanks for the quick response.  I was able to deregister my existing phones, but this new handset doesn't even have a dial tone and I have it fully charged.  Any thoughts?

You have to register it to the base. Have you done that and did you get a confirmation?

I didn't have any trouble with the "existing" handsets, it's the new handset that I cannot get a dial tone and cannot receive the "put HS on Base to register" message.  I had charged the new handset in the original extension base, but I'm trying to charge it in the home base to see if that makes a difference.  So far, still no dial tone. AND, I really appreciate you trying to help.

Then it's register to another base. Force a deregister in the topic provided.
