BGW210 phone connection to my existing phone patch panel for multiple jacks thru the house
I would like to know how to use the phone port on the back of my BGW210 to patch into my existing whole house patch panel and it work. I tried to run a line to my line in on the patch panel and terminate it on a Cat 3 Keystone jack then plug the phone 1&2 port to it. It didn't work. Help me Obi Wan you are my only hope!

First plug the line going to your panel into the phone port of the modem, see if you have dial tone at the panel, most likely on the white/blue pair if using multi pair cable. Once you have dial tone connect all the white/blues together, AFTER, THIS IS IMPORTANT. You've made sure the old incoming line is disconnected at the NID and taped so it can't be plugged back in. If you don't know how to open the line at the NID google phone company NID and select the one that looks like yours.

is thru the modem.

That maybe true, but the jacks were originally feed through the NID. You could harm the modem if the old phone company feed still has voltage on it. A lot of times they kill the dial tone, but the battery is still there.

Thank for the validation. I made sure that the old land line was completely disabled before I started this adventure. I have no phone lines coming into my house from the outside.
