Copper Wire Phones

Where can I get POTS copper wire landline service? … I live in Galveston, Texas and there is a SBC Communications box and several phone outlets in the unit … The condo office and several neighbors use POTS landlines, but when I call AT&T at the Telco and Landline Department they know nothing? … Please help me !!!

The only number to call to place an order is the 800-288-2020. As stated by @OttoPylot POTS lines are being phased out, so they may no longer be available in your location. All you can do is call and ask what's offered at your location. What do they say you can get?

It could be that the existing POTS lines are legacy connections and are being kept active. Any new POTS lines are not being installed because a lot of Telcos have been slowly eliminating  them in favor of VoIP connections. You may have to call around to other providers and see what they have to offer in the way of the old POTS lines but my guess is that they will offer a VoIP alternative instead.

Many thanks and any suggestions on who to call?…I need to have a copper wire or fiber-cable landline for emergency callouts?
