Damaged Drain Lines

We have had to bring in a plumbing contractor to replace drain line in our yard that was blocked due to roots growing through a break in the pipe and interruping the flow of the drain line. After completing their excavation today the plumbing contractors showed me where the plumbing line was damaged by a trenching machine at some time in the past, which is directly below the buried AT&T phone line. The phone line was already in place when we purchased the house, but the damage to our drain line was done during the installation of the line. How can we proceed to claim reimbursement for our expense to repair plumbing that was damaged by AT&T?

how long ago was it? i cant see where it would be reimbursable after so many years , but regardless AT&T claims are handled through Sedgwick, their claims administrator.

If you need to file a new claim, have the following information available:

• Location – The physical address or GPS coordinates for the location where damage occurred.

• Photos – Include close-ups and wide views of the area damaged. If possible, include photos of the person, vehicle, or equipment that caused the damage. Photos can be from cameras, cell phones, or other devices.

Once you have the information together, call the Claim Center at 800.894.0374.

Once the administrator receives the information, they will assign it to a claims examiner. The examiner will generally contact you within 3-5 business days to discuss the report and get additional information.
