New Construction - 4 property subdivision

Conduit has been run to the sites, we need to get AT&T out to pull cable/fiber from the street to the 4 houses in preparation for the houses to go on the market.

That is done when service is ordered for installation….

Unless your planning on providing internet for new homebuyer the home buyer will need to call to schedule their appointment when desired.

edit is the service aerial on a pole or buried?

are there service terminal(s) in place?

what service does the surrounding houses have available?

This is a new subdivision - we are wanting to have AT&T run service from the local terminal/node to the subdivision. We are not engaging service to each of the 4 addresses. The goal now is to get AT&T to a point that when the buyers contact you for new accounts it is a quick set up for them rather than a major build-out.

Is this something we should discuss by email or phone?

fill out information as the developer to have an evaluation, normally need a minimum of 60 addresses to qualify for fiber buildout.

The entire subdivision would be wired for terminals at one time before any address would be eligible for service.

Note could take 18 to 24 months from start to order depending on the area and work already scheduled.

Contractors bore and install tubing, fiber and pedestal(s) and/or handholes.

You should have contacted ATT when the roads and utilities where being planned.

We are thrilled about the progress on your new subdivision! Conduit installation marks a significant step. To further enhance connectivity, we recommend coordinating with AT&T to initiate cable/fiber pulling from the street to the four houses. This action will ensure optimal network readiness as the houses get ready to hit the market. If you need any assistance with this process, please don't hesitate to reach out. Your success is our priority.

@Jeanjee - initiating cable/fiber pulling from the street to the four houses is what I am trying to do now. I have not been able to find a phone number or link that will let me get in contact with the New Construction group. The one link I have be able to find does not apply to subdivisions of only 4 homes.

How do I best proceed?

I think you need to contact an engineer using the business forum Link, Business forum engineering can be found under business apps and solutions.

The business forum link applies for larger subdivisions (60+). We are a small group - only 4. Is there a department I can call? The developer is quite insistent that they have done this in the past.

Nothing we fellow customers know about. So an engineer won't contact you since you're small? If that's the case, file an FCC complaint.

Have you contacted the local cable company to provide service?

About a decade ago our local cable wanted $3000 per lot, suspect the cost is closer to $5000 now.

What does the surrounding homes have for service?

If copper service ATT might extend the copper but would not expect fiber if not already there.

Note 20% of ATT 21 state footprint or about 15 million addresses do not have hardwired Uverse platform services.

Legacy DSL would not be extended but instead the addresses would be serviced by cell tower using 4G LTE or 5G where available.

Check the link, may be what the homes will be offered….

edit… zip code?

close major intersection?

did the developer obtain a Will Server letter or commitment beforehand?
