AT&T messaging app not showing incoming texts

I'm visiting family in another state and the cell reception here in the mountains is awful.  I'm using the AT&T messaging app to text via WiFi on my computer to keep in contact with friends while I'm visiting, and it works ok for awhile then it removes all the other side of the conversation and only displays my responses to the texts.  Does anyone know a way to fix this?

Hello! @Rilost Thanks for posting your concerns with AT&T messaging.

Sorry to hear that the replies are disappearing. One thing you want to ensure is that your computer is using a supported HTML 5 compliant browser, which includes Google Chrome, IE + Chrome Frame, Firefox or Safari and that you have the most up to date version of the browser.  I would recommend you clear the cache and cookies in your browser, power the computer off and back on then try it. If that does not resolve it, try using a different type of browser and see if that clears it.

If you still have issues, remove the feature from your online account, then go back in and re-add it. IMPORTANT: Keep in mind If you do this you will delete all messages from the AT&T messaging cloud.

  1. Select myAT&T at the top of the page. If prompted, log in.
  2. Hover over Wireless Services at the top of the page, and then select Add or Change a Service.
  3. If there is more than one device on the account, select the device to be managed.
  4. Select Web, Text & More > Web Services > Send/Receive Text Messages from the Web > No, thank you  > Next.
  5. Select an available Service Effective/Expiration Date.
  6. Select Next > Submit.

Hope this helps!
