Hi @mlissat102478, let's help you disable the AT&T WI-FI passpoint.

  1. Go to the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap on "Wi-Fi."
  3. Find the ATT Passpoint network and tap on the "i" icon next to it.
  4. Tap on "Forget This Network."
  5. Turn off the "Auto-Join" option.

If the "Auto-Join" option keeps turning back on, you may need to reset your network settings. Here are the steps to do that:

  1. Go to the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap on "General."
  3. Scroll down to the bottom and tap on "Reset."
  4. Tap on "Reset Network Settings."
  5. Enter your passcode if prompted and confirm that you want to reset network settings.

After resetting your network settings, try the steps above again to forget the ATT Passpoint network and turn off auto-joining. Let us know if that works.

Thank you for the quick response! There is nothing that will let me "forget this network". I have network reset my iphone several times. I previously had an I[phone SE(2nd gen) that had same issue. I thought when I received my replacement phone it would be gone but it's on this one too.

Where did the passpoint come from?

@mlissat102478 Cricket Wireless customers have access to AT&T passpoint Wi-Fi connections since AT&T owns  Cricket. This is a secure encrypted connection.

This is an automatic connection setup by the carrier services of AT&/Cricket. My older iPhones made the connection but current iPhone has not been in range so not on my current phone but will make connection when in range.

Hey  @Fl_retire -

I first assumed the reason the passpoint appeared out of no where was because AT&T owns Cricket but I spoke to Cricket and they had no idea(then again it just could be the three employees I spoke to were not well informed). It just appeared one day but only on my iphone, not my husbands iphone and there is no way to delete it.

I've had this phone for only two weeks and it's doing the same thing as the other phone, disconnects and connects to both mobile and wifi networks on it's own. I was thinking it's related to the passpoint.

@mlissat102478 You were probably at a location where you phone made a connection that your husband was not at.
