Hi @KEgedy, we understand your concern, and we're here to help you.
If you’re using an iPhone, here are a couple of ways to copy a phone number from a text message:
From Contacts:
Open the Messages app.
Tap on the name at the top of the conversation to reveal the contact info.
Tap the arrow next to the contact name.
The phone number will appear; tap and hold it to access the “Copy” option.
From a Group Text (for non-contacts):
Tap on the group of contacts at the top.
Tap the info button.
All the group members’ names and numbers will appear.
Tap and hold the desired number to copy it.
Note, these methods work for both contacts and non-contacts. If you’re using an Android device, the process may vary slightly, but you can still achieve similar results.
Let us know if the above information helps.
Thank you for contacting AT&T Community & Forums,
Susan, AT&T Community Specialist.
