Group Texting - Can send but not receive (but if I can receive individual texts from same)

I have an iPhone 8 (this issue was also present on my iPhone 6s while on Verizon).

 

We have a family group text string that has numbers from different carriers and mobile phones.  2 Androids on T-Mobile, 1 Android on Verizon, 1 iPhone on Verizon, 2 iPhones on Sprint, 2 Android on Sprint and mine - iPhone 8 on AT&T.

I am the only person on the group message who does not receive group texts from several of the numbers.  However, I can receive individual texts from those same numbers I do not receive as a group text.  Interestingly enough - while I can receive individual texts from them, I cannot receive picture messages from them as individual.

 

No one else has this issue - so from deductive reasoning I would assume the issue is definitely on my end.  Considering others with an iPhone still receive the group messages I do not.

 

I have tried everything - deleting all texts, deleting the contacts, turning on/off group messaging settings, resetting network settings and even hard resetting my phone.  

 

What else can I do?

Has this always been your experience even while your were subscribed to your previous carrier or did this issue occur following a change on your device say a software update? Have you tried re-inserting the SIM card? Does the issue still occur while using a third party app?

Yes, it happened when I was with a previous carrier - but since I switched to AT&T it became worse.  First I couldn't receive group texts from 2 numbers, now it is up to 3.  It is consistent across several iPhone devices and software versions.  Removing and reinserting the SIM does not work.  Apple indicates it's a carrier issue, but I'm at a loss.
