International day pass in El Salvador

Hello,  I activated the IDP before my trip, and now I'm here, but I cannot make or receive calls.  Data is working just fine.  

I tried adding an eSim and it's not available. I really need to use do that my family can call me plus work related calls.  Thank you

International day pass only limits how much you pay. Rather than high pay per use rates.

It doesn't permit or Force calls or text or data to function.

If service isn't working it's more likely your phone is not compatible with with whichever local network you are connecting to.

You can try resetting your network settings which may allow your phone to connect to a local provider. You will have to do the same when you return to the United States. 

This is not a factory reset just resets the network settings forcing your phone to comply with whichever local network it is connecting to. This will erase all Wi-Fi saved passwords so you will have to enter those again.
