My (outbound) texts are being blocked on AT&Ts network

To recruit donors to an upcomming blood drive in my community, I sent about 150 texts from my personal cell phone to previous donors, who had provided their phone numbers at previous drives (in my community).

The texts were all identical (a fact I later learned was a very bad idea).

I don't know whether some of the recipients flagged my messages as spam - or if AT&T systems detected the duplications - but I can no longer send texts to AT&T or Verizon wireless subscribers.  I can still send to recipients on other networks AND I can receive messages from anyone, apparently.

Is there an appeals process that I can use to request my texting privileges be reinstated?  Believe me, I have learned my lesson!

Thanks,

Chip

Good news!  Apparently without my ever speaking to anyone - they have lifted the ban.  My sending spree was on a Monday evening and by the following Saturday at about noon I can send texts to both AT&T and Verizon subscribers.  So problem solved!

Perhaps they invoke a temporary ban for about 100ish hours for an offense such as mine???

Have you searched for an email to text service to get around AT&T’s 20 text limitations. Verizon does have a higher number limitation for texting.

AT&T customer service (on the phone) can't help me, because I do not have an AT&T account.  And based on a quick search it appears that AT&T doesn't provide any support via e-mail.  If I'm wrong about that I hope someone will provide such an email address.

AT&T doesn’t have any customer service emails.  Their contact methods are here.

However, if you don’t have an account, they likely aren’t going to help you.  What are you expecting from AT&T?  If they have a limit on how on many texts that can be sent through their system or want them to tell you how to get around their spam filtering, they are unlikely to make any exceptions, no matter how worthy the cause.  As previously noted, you may need to look into a third party service to send your texts.

Umm,  yes - I mentioned in my last post:

- Customer Support can't help me (because I don't have an AT&T account).

- There is no email support from AT&T.

And if I wasn't clear in my first post - I'm NOT trying to get permission to continue sending duplicate texts to any number of recipients in the future ("Believe me, I have learned my lesson").  I'm asking if there is a process to beg forgiveness and go back to my run-of-the-mill, everyday texts to family and friends (who are on AT&T's network).  THAT is what I want to ask of AT&T.  And I don't really "expect" it, but I'm hopeful that someone on this forum may know how to initiate that forgiveness process (or at least request a review of the decision) - since apparently, it can not be done through normal customer service channels.
