Paid for AT&T Intl Business Passport, power cycled my phone and I still haven't been able to use data or call. Any ideas?

Hello! My wife is in France at the moment and realized when she got to Paris that she did not have an international plan. No problem. I called AT&T support and got them to sign her up for a month. 100 bucks, talk text use data all that good stuff. The agent told me to have her power cycle her phone and it should work. It's been two days now, she has restarted her phone at least 3 times and still she can't access the internet or call anyone. All of our messaging has been through WhatsApp. Does anyone have any trouble shooting tips to help her gain access to her data? She desperately needs to use her map apps at the least. Thank you!

This is not the business forum, it's the consumer side. International day pass only charges when service is used on a foreign service provider. It's not the same as passport which was a set monthly fee.

I didn't think passport was still available, but it might still be available for business customers.

These plans don't facilitate service, all they do is limit what it costs rather than the exorbitant roaming prices.

If your wife is not using a compatible phone with European service, that might be why she does not have a connection.

Do you know what phone she is using? Has she taken her phone out of airplane mode? Has she turned on data roaming in settings?

If she's using a very inexpensive Android phone sold for AT&T prepaid it likely does not have compatible service bands that will work outside of North America.

If you are on the same service plan/account, please call 611 and speak with AT&T about why her service is not connecting. There may be a block on her line, or on the account to prevent roaming charges, which would also prevent the ability to use the roaming package that you may or may not have purchased
