Samsung S20 old text message deletion
I want to delete older messages on my Samsung Galaxy s20 phone. I'm looking to delete messages older than a year or two. I have many text chains with thousands of text messages on each one and I don't want to delete all the messages or delete them one at a time because it would take forever! I need to free up space on my phone and in the backup as there are three gigs of messages on my phone. Please feel free to suggest a work around! 🙏

Unfortunately phones were not built with an option to mass delete message so old. It is delete each thread or each message. Perhaps you can download/transfer those messages so at least you've freed up space on the phone and any online backup.
Hope you haven't been experiencing any slowdowns on that phone from such a massive archive.

To delete older messages on your Samsung Galaxy S20 phone, open the Messages app, long-press on the conversation, and select "Delete messages." Choose the messages you want to delete and tap on the delete option. If you have many messages, consider using a third-party SMS management app from the Google Play Store for more advanced bulk deletion features.
