Save Advanced Messages as PDF

I am involved in a court case and need to print out a long text thread.

I was able to quickly and easily download the thread but it was one sided because one person was using advanced messages and the other was using text messages.

I need to hurry up and figure out how save this text thread as a PDF.

Hello @King_Astro, we hear you and would like to help you.

Certainly! Saving advanced messages as PDF can be quite useful for documentation, reference, or sharing. Let’s explore how to do this for different scenarios:

    iMessage Conversations (Mac):
If you’re using a Mac, you can export iMessage conversations to PDF. Here’s how:
Open the Messages app on your Mac.
Ensure that your iPhone and Mac are synced using the Messages app.
Select the conversation you want to export.
Let the entire thread load (scroll up if needed).
Go to File in the menu bar, choose Print, and select Save As PDF from the PDF dropdown menu.
Save the PDF to your preferred location

For android-

Using SMS Backup & Restore:

Step 1: Install the SMS Backup & Restore app from the Google Play Store.
Step 2: Open the app and grant the necessary permissions.
Step 3: Set up a backup by tapping “Back up now” and selecting “Messages” (you can also include attachments or set a date range).
Step 4: Once the backup is complete, go to the “View Backups” section.
Step 5: Choose the conversation you want to save as a PDF.
Step 6: Tap the overflow menu (usually three dots) at the top and select “Print Conversation”.
Step 7: Choose the PDF option, select a save location (such as your Downloads folder), and confirm the save.
