Texting the UK
I don’t have a international plan but I do have an iPhone and so does someone I know but He lives in the UK. How could I text him through iMessage with out it charging me on my AT&T and him on his O2-UK.

I know the importance of keeping in touch with your loved ones abroad. I would love to look into options.
The good thing about iMessage is it needs a data or Wi-Fi connection to be used. Therefore, if you and your friend in the UK both are using iMessage, the usage will reflect within your alloted data plans.
I would recommend visiting our article on International Texting From The U.S. This will depend on the plan you are currently on. Also you will find information on plans we offer to reduce the cost.
Another option will be to search in the App store for possible 3rd party Apps which may allow this feature.
