VoLTE and HDVoice not supported for Google Pixel XL

My Questions is why is at&t the only provider that does not support VoLTE or HDVoice for non at&t branded Phones. I bought the Google Pixel XL from the google play store and a LG Sport Watch from at&t. I can not use at&t's NumberSync Service because they will not support my Pixel with VoLTE and HDVoice. I checked and if I bought the Google Pixel XL from the at&t store it would be supported. What is so different besides who I give my money to for the phone? I also checked with Verizon and they support those services even if you do not buy the phone through them. I checked with sprint and Tmobile as well and they are on the same page as Verizon. When will at&t catch up to their competitors because I know they are losing customers over this and I am soon to be one.

@GoogleUser1

for one ATT has never sold the pixel....  So that is a moot point.

ATT thinks they will sell more phones by making enhanced LTE services only work on there devices.  I have had a pixel xl since launch and never have had those features.  I do however have a s7 active to switch to if I need wifi calling where I am going.  Its not as much as att playing catch up but rather when they will see they are making bad choices about things.  Verizon will;allow enhanced LTE services on select devices.  Tmobile will allow them on almost all devices they support.  Sprint is a little tricky they say they will but there are reports on the web they dont.

I also have a lg sport.  I can tell you your not missing anything by not getting numbersync the service plain sucks.  Used it on a urbane 2 LTE and the sport with the s7 active.

Get up to $360 in bill credits* when you bring your Google Pixel to AT&T.

Have a Google Pixel phone or thinking of getting one? Bring it to AT&T and connect to everything you love!

Yes, the credits are real. Get everything you love, not so much. They are offering money to bring the phone and receive everything you  love. This excludes, Volte, and WiFi calling.

We love family and friends.  It is not possible to love a thing or a feature.

Now the reality check.  I have a branded GS7 and a Pixel for the same reasons @GLIMMERMAN76 does.  The Pixel gets better reception and has better voice quality than the GS7, despite not having VoLTE .  The only time the GS7 beats the pixel is when I need wifi calling to work.  ATT VoLTE is not great.

I love being able to actually contact friends and family. In some areas, ie. my office, wifi calling is what would make this possible. natively. I use Google voice as a work around but would rather have native. Also, HSPA calling is weak in some areas I go. The LTE connection will be strong though. So yes, My friends and family are the things I love, but the features make it happen.

It says right in the terms and conditions not all features work....  I mean free money is not a bad thing tho....  By the way its enhanced LTE services that wont work.  HDvoice on ATT is Volte.

Then move along.  This is how it is for now.  It won't change until enough people choose non Att phones, or leave because of it.
