Wi-Fi security "key". Where do I find it??
I am trying to set up a new laptop and it keeps asking for my "network security key". What is it and where do I find it? I tried using the wifi password but evidently that's not what they want. Any suggestions?? Thanks.

I honestly do not see anything labeled "network key". I have:
WiFi network Name, Wi Fi Password, Device Access Code. The Access code is a bunch of symbols and numbers. Is that it???
I'm sorry I am such a loser! I promise I do have other redeeming qualities... 😉

The WiFi Password is what you want to use.
With that said if someone has changed the password then you can...

The information on the router is not the network security key. It keeps saying incorrect. I don't understand why it doesn't.

Be aware that sometimes look-alike or adjacent characters cause issues with the passphrase, e.g.:
\ / can get interpreted as V,
| might be seen as 1 or l,
l might be seen at 1,
1 might be seen as l,
0 might be seen as O,
O might be seen as 0,
etc.
If you can connect via Ethernet cable, you can see view the password on the Gateway's web interface, or you could change it (using the System Access password also printed on the side of the Gateway).

Most people choose a different password to access their home Wi-Fi other than the one that comes printed on their router or their gateway. One that's a little easier to remember.
They are always case sensitive.
And they should never contain both the letter o and the number 0 because they are easily confused
