Fail to act - fraud - theft

We have been requesting to cancel our service for now 8 months. We have called no six times. We have recorded the last three calls proving our conversations. You have illegal withdrawn over $700 from our account since we first requested cancelation. The line hasn't been used since June 2023. We were told we would recieve a call from management on Monday, that did not occur. We called again yesterday, our cell # was requested for a callback in case the call was lost. The call was disconnected and we recieved no callback again. We will be filing a report with the FCC and FTC, as well as our bank. We will seek other legal assistance if this is not resolved immediately, and all of our money refunded to us. You have the records to prove all of this. You have the records to prove the line hasn't been used or in service June 2023. Your management needs to call us tomorrow between 8am and 5pm central. This message is being saved as evidence of another notice to you.

This is a customer-based forum, you are not addressing AT&T. If you aren't getting anywhere through normal channels the FCC is the way to go, the trade commission can do nothing.

Wrong, the FTC deals with both fraud and UDAAP violations. This may be a customer-based forum but it is monitored by AT&T, resides on AT&T web servers, and AT&T posts direct links to this forum from their web page.  Legally it is AT&T, just the same as thier social media, main website, email, phone, or chat.

Do as you wish, think what you want. That's your privilege. Now we know this topic is to vent, not seek direction.

We will be filing a report with the FCC

That's a useful action to take and will probably get you further than any further posturing and posting here.

as well as our bank.

Yeah, you should have revoked authority as soon as you saw an issue.

Your management needs to call us tomorrow

This will not be happening.

but it is monitored by AT&T,

Sort of.  Post counts, those sorts of things.  Sure.  But that's not the same as acting on each post.

resides on AT&T web servers,

Wrong.  These forums are hosted by a service provider who provides the forum software as a Software As A Service arrangement.

and AT&T posts direct links to this forum from their web page.

They do.  And to third party sites, etc.  So what?

We will seek other legal assistance
