Is AT&T ending copper wire landline service in Indiana?

Question

My security company says they have been told that copper wire landline service in Indiana is ending in January, and I need to invest in their cell-connection equipment.   I've heard nothing from AT&T (we live near South Bend).  Does anyone know if this is true, or how we could find out for sure?  Thanks.

Copper is being phased out everywhere and most all carriers, I doubt there's a deadline in Indiana. Where customers like you and wouldn't have that information and I doubt if any of the customers service reps do either.

Thanks, spoom2.  Based on what has happened elsewhere, how much notice are we likely to get, and how will we be notified?

We've seen post where service being upgraded the customers received notice by US mail. Maybe someone can give you a more definite answer.
