Landlne OnLine Account Management

After going thru a process worse than having teeth pulled with no anesthetic I was able to establish a landline phone.

(a whole other story)

The "introductory package" welcoming me to ATT provided me with information on establishing my on-line  account management.

All attempts to complete the process were unsuccessful.

After an hour on the phone being routed to various "no my job" agents and long wait time I finally reached one of the "can almost speak English" representatives who informed me landline (only) services were not eligible for on-line management.

It's been many years since I had dealt with AT&T and I must say it is the poorest run organization with which I have ever dealt.

Hey @augie47, sounds like you've been through a lot, and we want to help change this experience for you.

We can definitely understand the convenience of having online access to your account, with the Customer Center feature, you can manage your home phone account easily.

We recommend you to check on how to manage your home phone.

Sign up for an account and create an ID:

  1. Sign in to the AT&T Customer Center.
  2. Select Register Now.
  3. Enter your billing telephone number and online registration code. (See the Get your online registration code section if you don’t have a code.)
  4. Follow the prompts to complete your registration.

We’ll give you an online registration code when you sign up to manage your account in the AT&T Customer Center. This code is required by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to help protect your privacy.

  1. Sign in to the AT&T Customer Center.
  2. Select Request an Online Registration Code.
  3. Enter the info and select Continue.
  4. Go to the registration page to finish the process after you get your code.

Let us know if this helps.
Thank you for reaching out on AT&T Community & Forums!

I attempted to follow the advice given but was unsuccessful, however, I did receive an e-mail with a new "code" and, although it doesn't go as spelled out, I was able to establish an account.

Harrowing process, but finally complete.
