Child (sub) Accounts and Password on HBO Max

Is there any way to create a child or sub login under my primary HBO Max account?  My HBO Max account is linked to my primary AT&T account.  I do not feel comfortable sharing my billing username and password with my teens.  The last thing I need is them having access to all of the account settings.  I would like to be able to create a separate, but linked account under my primary.  This is Password Security 101, so I cannot imagine that this is not possible.

Hello @

We're here to help answer your HBO Max questions.

There is only one HBO Max account created per eligible service, so there can only be one set of sign-in credentials, which will usually be the primary user ID for the eligible service you redeemed the account through. You can learn more in the FAQ section of the HBO Max home page on att.com.

We hope this information helps.

So what happens when you sign other people in your house on with your credentials and they use that to make charges you didn't authorize? I can almost immediately assume the default response of "you shouldn't be sharing your account credentials" would be used and the charges would not be removed based on that. This is a very bad policy move.

I get HBO Max via Internet 1000. I had to make a separate HBO Max account, then link it to my U-Verse account.

My two accounts are different usernames and passwords.

I just used the log in via "Sign in with a provider" and it used my same AT&T login. At the end of the day, I would have to either log other devices in the house into the service with my credentials and hope it doesn't allow them to make any purchases or access the main AT&T site, or give them said credentials so they can log in themselves.

I've used it since launch and haven't noticed any way to make purchases. The premier movies that have the 30-day window don't need to be purchased. I've watched at least one with no additional charge.
