at&t radiant max 5g touchscreen issues

I bought a radiant max 5g smartphone on Facebook marketplace. it was brand new but also unlocked for any carrier. the issue is the touchscreen. I get ghost touches, freezes and constantly force closing apps and lag. I've factory reset the device 3 times. I checked and there is no system update either. I believe this is software related and not a defective screen. how can I fix this or get a replacement device?

That should not be possible. ATT branded phones are not sold unlocked. If your phone is really unlocked, it’s probablyeither not new or hacked. Regardless, ATT is not the manufacturer. Contact the manufacturer for warranty issues.

it was sold brand new in the box. the seller had it unlocked. I'm using it on TMobile now. at&t is the manufacturer of the radiant brand. that's why I'm posting this. unlocked or not there has to be some type of manufacturer warranty.

Warranty is for the first person that purchased it.  Also if the phone was brand new it would not have been unlocked.  ATT only unlocks prepaid phones after 6 months of use.

do an internet search. at&t makes this device. they probably contract out the manufacturing process but they make the radiant brand. as far as warranty it shouldn't matter who bought it. unlocking the device doesn't void software or hardware defects.

Actually you don't have the original bill of sale do you aka the first buyers?  ATT locks prepaid devices for 6 month and only unlocks them after using the phone 6 months in a row so if the phone was new something was done to unlock it that was not ATT's doing.  Good luck with finding a resolution.

Hello @fixxxer2020, we certainly understand your concerns with your device that you've purchased on Facebook Marketplace not working properly.

As @sandblaster stated, you'll need to reach out to to the manufacturer to confirm if you're eligible for device warranty. Also, you'll need to reach out to the original owner of the device for further help with your concerns.

Feel free to let us knw if you've got any other questions or concerns!

Thank you.
