Cant unlock a Nighthawk 6 pro hotspot
I have a Nighthawk M6 pro. I terminated my contract early and paid the fees. I want to make it a prepaid so I only pay when I need it. I sent in an unlock request but the reply is that there is an unpaid balance associated with the device. How is that possible when I paid the fees to terminate?

How long ago was this? It takes a few days for final payments to go through the AT&T system.
You might have a wait a day or two.
Unless you have another active account with AT&T that has a pending payment. They consider all accounts.

In response to your inquiry I would like to inform you that if you are facing issues to unlock your Nighthawk 6 pro hotspot kindly try below-mentioned steps.
1. Turn off the device then remove the back cover and battery.
2. Remove the AT&T SIM card and install a non-AT&T SIM card into the device.
3. Insert the battery then replace the back cover and turn on the device.
4. Connect a Wi-Fi device to your mobile hotspot.
5. Go to http://attwifimanager or http://192.168.1.1 in the connected device's browser.
The default sign-in is attadmin.
6. Choose the alert: “Device Locked - If you have a device unlock code please click below to enter it, otherwise contact your network provider for the unlock code”.
7. Select Enter Unlock Code to proceed. Or, with the non-AT&T SIM card installed, Security followed by SIM Security.
8. Enter your unlock code.
