Full Denim release for Lumia 830?

I asked this as a response in a different thread but it probably wont get much response there.

Is there any update on when AT&T will update the firmware of the Lumia 830 to the latest ("Full")  version.

AT&T released the Lumia 830 with a partial Denim firmware release, basically Denim in name only.

With the version of Denim installed not only does the Lumia Camera 5 application not launch (a major selling point for the phone)  but there is also a significant bug when using Netflix which returns an error code: Q8156-887A0004  when attempting to play media.

Looking into it on the web it appears the Netflix probelm to be a driver issue of some sort that may be addressed in the latest firmware versions released in other regions of the world.

I have had several people ask me if I like Windows Phone  and I always say yes, but have to put a caviot that I can't reccomend this phone unless AT&T updates it.

Hey @EvilSmrk

I’d be happy to help! At this time, we do not have any release information or dates regarding a future update for the Nokia Lumia 830. I would recommend checking out our Software Updates page which is regularly updated with information for the most recent updates for your device.

I hope this helps!

Once again AT&T has been amazing at providing a non-response to an issue that is affecting thousands. Withthe entire world (except for Thailand, Colombia, and AT&T) receiving the full update and getting the service promised by Nokia/Microsoft, when will you guys commit to honoring what was promised to us back in November when you sold us phones?

Did you see that with Windows 10 for phones - Microsoft will be in control of the updates from that point onward.  That's a big slap in your face, AT&T for ignoring your customers.  One of the reason's I stopped paying your ridiculous prices for your service and moved to an mvno.  You keep your customers waiting for updates and don't live up to what you advertise.  It's no wonder you are ranked as the worst wireless provider.

I tried the windows 10 preview on my Lumia 830 and it solved the netflix playback problem. I also haven not had any problems with any of the several camera apps I regularly use. However, WP10 is very buggy at this pooint I wouldn't recommend downloading it to anyone else. I found the tools are very useful but the lack of smooth operation has me changing back to 8.1 Good luck!
