Hotspot won't connect to the internet.

I bought my hotspot in August 2023 and I used it through September 2023. Then I put it in a drawer until I needed it again, in January 2024. I used it for about one month, and then it went back in the drawer for 2 months. I recharged my plan at the end of March and tried to use it but now it won't connect to the internet.

I have tried taking the battery out, power cycling, using a paperclip to reset it, and resetting it from the hotspot.webui page (which it will connect to).

It still won't connect to the internet.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks

It may just need a new SIM card after being dormant for so long, definitely not odd for this to happen to SIM cards though, try bringing it to a store see what happens.

We'll be happy to help you get your hotspot up and running again @JMarsha5.

Resetting your hotspot device is the fastest fix in most cases. If you aren't sure how to do it, you can find the directions by selecting your device here.

If that doesn't work, we'll need more information in order to assist you. Are you using your phone as a hotspot or do you have a mobile hotspot device? If so, which device do you have? Are you getting any kind of error message?

We look forward to hearing from you, so we can get started.

Thank you for visiting AT&T community Forums.

Hi and thank you both for your help.

To answer all the questions, I have a Turbo 2 hotspot and it will connect to my phone and my computer, but the message says its connected but no internet. It will log onto the hotspot.webui platform and allow me to check all of its settings. Nothing looks out of place.

However, I hadn't thought of the SIM card being the issue. I can go to a store tomorrow if that's necessary.

Let me know what you think.

Forgot to respond on this one! Checking in to see if you were able to go in store to get a new sim, any changes?
