Kyocera DuraXE E4710 can't update to latest software.

My E4710 won't connect to the network, so I checked the These devices are tested and approved for the AT&T network (att.com) pdf and it says it requires an update to use some features, but when I click update it says processing downloading and then kicks me off that screen not even attempting to download.

If it is not an AT&T phone then you need to get the software update on the original carrier, or if not a carrier specific phone from the manufacturer. AT&T will not update software for another carrier's (or manufacturer unlocked) phone. AT&T only updates their carrier specific phones.

It is an ATT phone has the logos on it and shows the logo when turning on.

If that is an AT&T specific phone then a couple things. Check their support page for that phone's updates.

Also make sure you are using a current SIM card in it. Otherwise it might be an older one that isn't fully provisioned for their LTE network.

I tried the instructions on the website but when I get to check for update and I press it it says processing and then sends me back to the check for update screen.

Hopefully you're not caught in the dreaded catch 22... A phone that does not have current software and therefore will not run on the network, the only way to update it to current software is to put it on the network, but it keeps getting kicked off because it does not have current software...
