@windybnw Can you be a bit more specific? Are you referring to AT&T's MicroCell (3G only), which was discontinued about 2 years ago or the newer replacement, AT&T's Cell Booster (4G/LTE only which is a misnomer because it's still a femtocell like its predecessor).
Your phone number is either on your phone or under your Account, if you are the account holder and it is a post paid account. The Cell Booster doesn't require one to add approved phone numbers like the old MicroCell did. Anyone with an AT&T account, and a phone that is LTE capable, can access the Cell Booster if within range.

my son, who uses my older ATT samsung phone has no service at my house.
I thought I'd need to check to make sure his number was in there.
Updated my internet info and he can use internet now, but no call or text option.
Thanks for your first info.
Barbara.

@windybnw That still doesn't answer my question. Are you attempting to use the discontinued MicroCell (3G only) or the Cell Booster (LTE only). Your internet information has nothing to do with the femtocells. The Cell Booster doesn't require any phone numbers anymore other than the account holder. Anybody can access it with an AT&T account. What kind of internet service do you have? Accessing the internet can be done via WiFi only.
The MicroCell was mfr'd by Cisco and Cell Booster is mfr'd by Nokia.

I'm going to assume that Ottopylot has already answered the question...
The LTE microcell does not have a whitelist of phones that can join and use it service. Any AT&T phone will automatically connect
It has a limit of about 16 devices at a time.

@formerlyknownas I did but the OP has not provided the information that I asked for and ATTHelp's answer did not really address the OP's question.

Sorry,when I went to send message,it wouldn't go thru. I have microcell LTE, and his phone has been working fine at my house. I switched to TruVista for internet about a yr ago. The last week he's had no service. I unplugged and replaced with no results. I reactivated my microcell and still nothing. He goes outside and phone goes on.

@windybnw Ok. You keep saying you have the "MicroCell" but if it's LTE only, then that is the Cell Booster. It would be helpful going forward if you use the correct terminology. To be clear, what is the model number on the bottom of the unit? Is it DPH-154 or SS2F11?
What does the light pattern on the unit indicate? What does the Status page indicate?
Does your phone work with the Cell Booster (assuming that's what it is)?
What kind of phone does he have and has he updated since it last worked with your "Cell Booster"?

@OttoPylot
I'm giving the original poster credit for using the term that AT&T should have used all along. An LTE micro cell. 🏆😁
Since it works for the original poster, and just isn't working for one particular phone, something is up with that phone.
@windybnw
Is your son on AT&T postpaid or prepaid?
Or is he on a different service provider, or AT&T MVNO.
There has been no information or confirmation whether the LTE micro cell allows phones other than AT&T prepaid and postpaid.
For example no one has said it works on Cricket phones or consumer cellular phones with an AT&T SIM.
