Need help with z700a and nat type for my ps4

I do apologize you are experiencing trouble getting the correct NAT type to allow other users enjoy the online experience.  I can totally understand how frustrating this can be.

The first thing we want to do is make sure your device has the correct plan with voice and data included.

If it does, one great way to obtain step-by-step instructions on how to manage this device is using the free online manual. In addition, I recommend our Device Support tool, which also provides detailed information for specific AT&T devices.

Hi,

I have the home phone and internet plan, 50gb/month. They gave me the ZTE Z700A router. The onwners manual does not help. I keep getting NAT Type 3 on my PS4. I would like to use this service as intended and was told I could do. Would love for someone to help or tell me I can't do that so I can cancel my subscription.

I regret hearing you’re having a hard time connecting your ps4 to the internet. I’m happy to help!

I did a little bit of research and it seems you are not the only one encountering this issue. The most recommended solution is known as port forwarding. You can find the Port forwarding instructions for your modem on page 43. You will also have to set up your PS4 with static IP.

Did you figure out how to connect your home base to your PS4? Im having the same issues .. The online chat i had with a specialist  recommended that i get a router with the tools necessary  to get this up and running.

I can certainly understand your desire to open a NAT type on the Home Base while using your PS4 to have a smooth connection. Please allow me to share more information on this matter.

From extensive research I have found due to the nature of a Home Base, opening a NAT type is not possible. This is because UPnP routing option is not supported on the Wireless Home Phone. If you haven’t already, we suggest you try using the Port Forwarding Tool.
