Phone virus? Messages show up in wrong areas...

Hello There @Rabbidon,

I understand your LG Vigor is displaying your text messages where they should not be displayed.  I would be happy to assist you with correcting this issue.

I recommend putting your device into Safe Mode to eliminate a possible malicious application.

To put your phone into Safe Mode:

1. Power off your phone
2. Reboot your device as you normally would
3. When the "LG" splash screen appears, press and hold the "Volume down" button
4. "Safe Mode" label should be present in the lower-left corner of the screen
5. Release the "Volume down" button once the phone reboots in safe mode

Once your phone is in Safe Mode, use your phone to see if you are having the same issues.  If your phone is working properly, you have downloaded a malicious or faulty application.

If your phone still acts strangely while in Safe Mode, you can wipe the Cache Partition before resorting to a Master Reset.

To clear the cache partition:

1. Power off your phone
2. Press and hold volume down key while also pressing and holding the power button.
3. Do not release the volume down or power button until you see ‘Recovery Mode…Loading’
4. From the Recovery Mode menu, you will be able to ‘Wipe Cache Partition’

*while in Recovery Mode, you use the volume button to go down the options and the power button to select your option and say ‘yes’
