PLEASE HELP TO UNLOCK my phone!

Hi! I bought a Moto X unlocked on Amazon because I live overseas. Then my camera started to show problems, so I called Motorola, I sent the device and with 100 dollars they replaced it. Now my phone seems to be locked, I try to sign in through the page of AT&T but when I write down my IMEI they told me "we found no record of the IMEI number you entered". SO WHAT CAN I DO NOW ?????? Motorola say they can't help me! It's just between me and AT&T...so please help me to UNLOCK my phone!

If there is no record of the IMEI then maybe the device was not manufactured for use on AT&T network, sold by another carrier. You would need to contact the carrier that device was sold by in the first place.

no ATT's unlock system has a flaw that even if you pay full retail for a device the IMEI is not in the system and you have to go thru hoops to get it unlocked.  For some reason the unlock portal only recognizes devices that have been connect to the network.  Its like the IMEI;s for new devices are not loaded into the database.

It would appear that IMEIs don't appear in ATT data base until they have been activated on the ATT network.

This is the second complaint in two days. The other was an iPhone.
