verify my AT&T Iris flip phone contacts will download to Ford Escape Sync 3

New AT&T Iris Flip phone through Consumer Cellular will Bluetooth pair with Ford Escape (recently updated to Sync 3.4.23188 ) however the contacts will not download- have case#. Sync just gets caught in some sort of loop.  I am wondering if it has something to do with the phone using an e-sim instead of a regular Sim card - there is no way to move or change where the contacts are saved so Sync sees them?  Ford tech support thought installing all updates for phone and Sync would resolve but it has not.  I started on the Ford site looking for campatibility lists I keep seeing referenced but don't seem to exist....was pushed to this form.

Previouse flip phone Verve Snap worked perfect but no longer made  N

I have a Ford C-Max 

Ford sync kind of stinks. It is what it is. 

When I first got the car it would not pair with my phone at all.   

In any case, it's not an AT&T issue. It's a manufacturer issue which means the phone and the car and AT&T didn't build either
