Voicemails Deleted

Woke up yesterday (11/18/2014) to find that approximately 30 voicemails that my Mom left me are no longer listed. Some went back to April 2012; she passed away 7/31/2013. AT&T customer service was sympathetic but said they are "probably" not recoverable. My questions are: can anything be done? Can I at least be informed with more certainty? It seems like such an easy data retrieval issue, yet if it is difficult, I'm prepared to compensate AT&T for the extra work.

I did recieve a pop-up messege: "Voicemail Password Incorrect", nine days ago (11/9), and again (11/17). It came up over and over so I reset it.

AT&T doesn't store any voicemails. The only place they are stored is on your phone. Unless you had a backup of your phone, there is no way to retreive the voicemails.
