What is being done about the data breach???

Personal information about your customers was stolen from someone within the ATT company, what is being done about it?

We appreciate the question. Please know that we are in the process of notifying the specific customers affected and have taken steps to help prevent this from happening again.

Att has known about the breach for two months how long before people are notified, what do we do if we have a problem with our credit or identity ?

No, AT&T reports that they've known about it for almost a month.  It probably took some time to figure out what data was accessed during the 12 days of the data theft nearly a month before.

Why haven't I been notified about the breach??????  I a simple layperson was able to get on some websites and see that both of my phone numbers were on the list, but crickets from AT&T .   Once again great customer service for AT&T confirming that all they care about is $$$!

Thread from 10 years ago (2014) CLOSED.

Best to check for a reasonably recent thread that is relevant.
