Wifi Hotspot Not connecting to Desktop Computer

WE have a WiFi Hotspot with AT&T and it shows that it's working on our Iphones, but it will not connect to the computer or laptop. It was a week ago. I've removed it and removed all others that were there previously, and reconnected it. Still, not working. It won't locate it.

What is the use of paying for this device if it won't work. I never had this issue with Verizon.

Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Hello @HeatherMac!

I hope you are enjoying the afternoon! The Wi-Fi hotspot not allowing all devices to connect is an issue. I often connect my laptop to a cellular Wi-Fi hotspot and understand the need to fix this. It is my pleasure helping with this today!

Please try our great Troubleshoot & Resolve tool. To get the best results start by clicking Log in and sign into your myAT&T account. Select the device’s make and model > Hotspots, and follow the remaining steps until it works properly. Another option is to locate help topics in the Device how to page. Please let me know if it is still not working.

I’m glad I could help! Thank you and have a great rest of your Wednesday.

My wife signed up for AT&T Turbo wireless last weekend. She got both internet and Direct TV.  It works fine with our phones and her work at home laptop office.  It does not work with my desktop computer.  However, I can watch You Tube videos, access a few of my email sites, go to amazon.com, but when I try to click on a link, type an url, or go to a bookmark, I get a "not connected to the internet" or "site cannot be found".  How in the ___ am I able to watch You Tube yet not be on the internet?    Thank you.  This is a very frustrating experience.  I wish she had not done this but since she pays the bill I suppose we will have to deal with it someway.  Very disappointing.  It has turned out to be an regretful, awful decision on her part.  Actually, it did save her quite a bit of money on the monthly bill. That is the ONLY positive.
