Can a manufacture blacklist a phone?

I bought a OnePlus 2 phone directly from OnePlus, but after months of customer service/Paypal problems I ended up with the phone and my money back...some how.

OnePlus didn't bother replying to my email saying I would give it back(this was a month ago), and Paypal said I didn't have to give it back, so I'm choosing not to.

But the fear I have is one day the phone getting blacklisted because OnePlus might one day notice a missing payment or something.

Does OnePlus have the ability blacklist this phone? Or is it entirely up to AT&T

I'm sure they do, but it doesn't mean they will.

I'm not sure what AT&T has to do with it if you didn't buy it from AT&T.

If you got your money back, I wouldn't worry about it for now...

No they don't as they use Chinese imei numbers.

@GLIMMERMAN76 So the phones can't be blacklisted by the company?  (US companies don't honor their blacklists?)  Please share more...

Us carriers share a little imei database.  I have not heard of a OEM blacklisting a phone.
