My pixel 6 turned into an Alcatel in the trade in process

What mojo is this? I sent in a pixel 6 on Feb 5, got two trade in credits, and then found out it magically turned into an Alcatel! I never even owned an Alcatel!

Att told me there’s nothing they can do. I mean, I could call ups or usps who handled the package after I packed it (and what, accuse them of stealing?). I imagine there must be a way to actually check the IMEI or serial number of the phone I owned and sent in and see where it is now, but seems att won’t do that.

so what now? Filed a complaint with BBB. Filed a complaint with FTC. Wait and see and then take ATT to small claims court I suppose.

they offered me a one time $30 credit. I’m owed over $900 in trade in value.

Has anyone had any success with resolving this? Because I see I’m not the only one. A little weird, don’t you think, that all these high value trade ins are turning into Alcatel phones?

I did reach out through Contact Us yesterday and they told me there is nothing they can do and offered me $30. As noted above. Why is this going to be any different?
